I remember first watching/reading the text commentary on T2 Extreme DVD when it came out in 2003, and being absolutely blown away by the artistic side of T2 I havent focused on before. Particularly, the deliberate lighting of the T-800 during the Hasta La Vista scene - that the mechanical side was lit in blue and darkened by shadow and the human side was lit with warm orange, symbolizing the triumph of his humanity. Endoskeleton Design Evolution

Let's step out of our bubble for a second time. This site celebrates and only acknowledges the Terminator movies made between 1984-1996, without the contamination of the latter films/fanfictions and without acknowledging their existence. I broke the rule once when I reviewed all the latter films HERE , but I decided to do it one more time in order to shed some light on the changes in the Endoskeleton design throughout the years because it's a subject that isn't really covered anywhere . And yes, I will include the design changes from the latter films to show how, for the most part, they ruined that design. Let's get right to it without any unnecessary introductions and explanations. I noticed that most generic fans have no idea that there are actually design differences between the endoskeleton in the first and second film, and some fans only know about the hands. Vintage Magazine Collection: Japanese Starlog #79, May 1985

Japanese magazines were always the absolute best when it comes to magazines and books. They blew away any other publications. Their graphic design, layouts and most importantly, photos never seen in other publications and screencaps from the actual films were, at the time, something very special and rare. I mean, their 1985 book on The Terminator is just unbelievable. The excellent Starlog magazine was also published in Japan, but it wasn't simply a translation of the American counterpart. They were completely different issues with different articles, content and photos. The May 1985 issue featured The Terminator on the front and back cover, and featured 8 pages dedicated to the special effects of the film. I cant really read Japanese so I can't say anything about the article, but the photos are as usual top notch.
