A fantastic book with Jim Cameron's artwork has been published recently to great reviews from what I see, but of course the book doesn't show all of his work. Most notably, all of his sketches/studies of the Terminator 800 series parts, that he drew in detail on white paper are absent. Two of those, the sideview of the chest and spine, and the front armored chest plate, have been published in the excellent, excellent Winston Effect book (See HERE). The only place you can find these are in the 2001 Special Edition DVD (See HERE), and that one's long out of print and only scraps of its extras are included on Blu Ray today.
According to the phenomenal Winston Effect book, Jim Cameron and Stan Winston went on to a junkyard to shoot reference photos of various parts for a possible inspiration for the detailing on the endoskeleton design. These photos can also be viewed on the 2001 Special Edition set, here's just a pair of those
