When The Terminator first premiered, it wasn't really promoted in entertainment or film magazines, (although once it was out many magazines had lengthy reviews of it), and it was only scifi magazines and mostly bodybuilding mags that gave it some spotlight (and the Soldier of Fortune).
The bodybuilding mags were a hit and a miss. Some had some really cool stuff, some were just mentioning the film to get it out of the way. Flex magazine was one of the earliest ones to feature an article on The Terminator in its December 1984 issue with Arnold on the cover. It had its multipage article on Arnold that is promoted on the front page, and in a different place in the mag it has a feature on the film. As many bodybuilding mags, it has terrific rare photos, especially a photo of the Terminator in the motel room (although used in at least two other fitness mags as well), and a two page spreader with him gunning down people at Tech Noir. Interestingly enough, it is the only US magazine from the time that features an actual frame from the film (from the Police Station shootout)
As far as the written portion, it's nothing more but a very, very detailed description of the plot. It tells the entire movie scene by scene until the end, including every spoiler, every move and the twist at the end. Why would any magazine do that, I don't know. times were different. Other than the plot details there isn't anything else. Well, a mini bio on Arnold as a movie star
Overall I'd say the magazine is a fairly good catch thanks to its unique choice and collection of photos so I'm happy with it
