Vintage Magazine Collection: Starburst #78 February 1985

Starburst gave an amazing coverage to T2, as did a lot of publications of course, but Starburst covered just about everything and did really interesting interviews with the cast and crew spreading throughout multiple issues. Naturally, the first film did not get the same attention for obvious reasons, such as not being one of the biggest movies of all time with one of the biggest directors of all time and the biggest screen star at the time. Still, it's interesting and of course mandatory for T2 magazine collectors like myself to get their original coverage for The Terminator

The movie graces the cover of the #78 issue from February of 1985, and the magazine only features a review of the film, but it's two pages long and decorated with some cool photos, which aren't really rare, but also aren't overused (except for the photo of the Terminator operating on the arm which must be the most used promo image from the first movie in the media at the time)

The review thought, is spot on and one of the most glowing reviews I've read: "cinematic dynamo; powerhouse sci-fi action adventure; undeniably the most thrill packed movie going experience for ages; high premium excitement from the opening frame onwards; script is witty and well written, the direction superb with a nice eye for sharp detail" and lots and lots more. The reviewer, Alan Jones, is baffled how the director of Piranha II made this film, since it wasn't yet revealed that Cameron didn't really direct the Piranha sequel.
