Gorezone was a branch of Starlog Magazine, which was focusing more on scifi/fantasy horror, so it is a little odd that it would have a feature on Terminator 2: Judgment Day, although the film certainly had its gory scenes and the T-1000 brings in slasher elements, which the article notes and spends a paragraph on the subject. The feature of the magazine which was published in the winter of 1991/92, titled Men of Steel, was pretty much an exclusive interview with James Cameron which is also surprising to see in a gore magazine. Cameron takes another chance to explain that the T-1000 was part of the initial and original story for the first film, and that the water tentacle in The Abyss gave him the confidence that it's possible to bring the character onscreen by that point.
"Cameron adds that the T-1000 was his initial vision for the first Terminator movie. 'Even though I didn't call him the T-1000, that was my original idea', reveals Cameron. "Originally, I had the idea of a liquid metal robot from the future that could take on any form and coloration that it wanted. This would have been back in 1981. And before I actually got to writing the script. I realized two things: One, I had no conception of how to do it, even though it was a cool idea, and two, John Carpenter was making The Thing and I had heard they had gone back to the original concept of the story 'Who Goes There' with the idea of a shape changer. I had no idea what they were doing with that movie, so I abandoned that concept and went in a different direction. Now, I've come full circle after figuring out how to do the effects"
He also talks about the special effects of the film, the most dangerous stunts, the Special Edition of Aliens which at that point hasn't been released yet, deleted scenes and more.
While the interview doesn't really bring anything the hardcore fans don't know, it's still an interesting obscure conversation with Jim Cameron, and he elaborates more on the origins of the T-1000 character and it's one of the earliest mentions of the T-1000 being a part of the original story
The issue also features a large poster of the T-800 in the mill and ads for T2 merchandise
