Vintage Collectibles: Kenner's 1991 Exploding T-1000

Another one of Kenner's I wanted to get is the Exploding T-1000. I already have a T-1000 from Kenner in his "Blaster" incarnation (see HERE), but I wanted to also get the 'regular cop' look on him in some form and I thought the Exploding T-1000 was just the right one to get. It does have the patrol cop look and it also showcases the T-1000's featureless liquid metal look which looks cool, especially for a movie based character from that time.

So it's a perfect presentation of the character, as his in both of his forms. My version of the character is Canadian, so the difference from the US version is that everything is written in both English and French.

While, of course, my figure is purely for collectible pleasure, it must have been a really cool toy for youngsters who had seen the movie, as it actually blasts apart into multiple pieces.

As I have mentioned in my other Kenner reviews, I enjoy the packaging as much if not more than even the actual figure, as it's a terrific painting of T2's main promo image and I love the comic booky drawings of the characters in the upper right corner
