Vintage Magazine Collection: Muscle & Fitness December 1984

I rarely have anything positive to say about the gym magazine articles on films, if you can call them that, but despite a very brief article, I kinda like this one.

As usual per magazines of this kind, a movie is only mention on a page or two to advertise it briefly, and of course, film talk is out of place in a magazine with oiled up muscles so understandably there won't be any focus on the plot, talk with the cast or in depth articles on its themes. Still, this one has a very enthusiastic review  and a selection of pretty unique and cool photos. Even the choice of a photo for the cover is great (and quite rare, never used in US publications prior or since). The author of the brief article is taken by, and mentions, the scene where the Terminator punches his fist through the punk's stomach.

This issue of Muscle & Fitness is from December of 1984, so still only two months after The Terminator's premiere, making it one of the first magazines not only to cover the film, but to feature it on a cover in some capacity

Brief but cool. One of the earliest Terminator magazines
