A bit more from modern collectibles. Im not gonna talk about the content of the discs because its in most cases repackaged Skynet Edition with same extras, sometimes one less. Its the packaging thats the subject here.
Most of us should be familiar with the BestBuy exclusive Steelbook as its been pretty widespread and it seemed like a lot of Bluray collectors really ate it up. Well, why not, the metallic fiery shine does look cool however I was always disapointed with this release. First of all, the font is out of place and really takes away from the T2 feel. Secondly, the shot of the endoskull isnt even from T2! Its very obviously a shot from T3 with photoshopped fire, easily noticable for many diehards as the teeth are way too short in this endo.
On the opposite side, the Japanese release is Ace. Not only it does include the actual shot from T2 in High Quality, but it also includes the classic Terminator font engraved on the cover along with Schwarzenegger's name. It also comes with a booklet in Japanese. So this release proves that a release incorporating endoskull in fire can be done right.
