SF Movie Land from May 1985 had a really good feature on the miniature effects of The Terminator. The magazine, which give the movie a great, full cover, shines a spotlight on Fantasy II - the miniature effects house that did the Future War, tanker explosion and stop motion shots of the endoskeleton. Gene Warren Jr is interviewed here, and talks about the Hunter Killers, the explosions and of course the Terminator stop motion shots.
The fantastic thing about this magazine is that it has a distinction of being a first full sized magazine (and a second overall only after Cinefex) that had shown a Terminator endoskeleton on its pages. Not only that, there's more - it's also the only one to print Jim Cameron's drawings of the Endo, including the very first image he did with prismacolor pencils of the Terminator endoskeleton in fire.
One of the best magazines of the original era
