A now obscure magazine, Enterprise Incidents got a hold of Arnold Schwarzenegger to discuss the movie in their December issue from 1984. It's a very lengthy and interesting interview, done before the movie hit theaters. It's interesting to read about Arnold wondering how will the movie get received. He talks about everything from working with James Cameron to his stories from the set.
Arnold recalls shooting in dark alleys of LA and finding people living there, and recalls the story of getting the role of the title character which exactly matches what he and Cameron both told on The Making of The Terminator: Retrospective Documentary from 1992.
He also tries to explain how the Terminator works - how its not an evil character but a programmed machine, like an engine, and how its a skeleton covered with flesh that gradually loses it throughout the film.
The article still refers to the title characters as android, and that's understandable - the only human looking "artificial people" before The Terminator were androids.
The date of the Future War scenes is given as 2035.
The movie is also referred to as simply Terminator. Interesting of note is that this magazine is one of the very first magazines that placed Terminator on its cover
Aesthetically, the magazine isn't very good - it has badly cut out images, but it does offer lots of never before seen pics, lots of them from the Future setting, and also the first glimpse at what's underneath the Terminator's skin - it includes two photographs of Arnold in makeup.
