Vintage Magazine Collectibles: Starburst #157, September 1991

UK's Starburst Magazine was an equivalent of US' Starlog and gave great coverage on Terminator 2: Judgment Day when it hit the theaters there. Their September issue gave a nice full cover to T2, and continued their report from the set.

MJ McDougall, who wrote the set report for Starburst, ended up as an extra on the set. The set in question was the steel mill - he witnessed the tanker truck sliding into the Steel Mill, the Terminator falling off of it, and getting ready for the "Hasta La Vista, Baby" line. McDougall describes Jim Cameron's restless and shark like presence on the set, and is amazed by his stamina and thoughtfulness. For example, he even gave the writer, who was an extra as one of the steel mill workers, an elaborate explanation as to why he should hold on to his clipboard while running away as oppose to dropping it ("It's a curious psychological reaction, but in times of stress and fear, people usually hold on to whatever they're running with. They're too frightened to release them")

The issue also features a review of the film, which is stellar - the magazine gives the movie 10 out of 10, and there's also another review on the last page which is also pure well thought out praise.
